Nothing is worth than to have a car that is gas efficient in today's world of rising prices of about everything. You would definitely love to know the gas saving tips that will assist your pocket to prevent hole.
Don't be idle for long
This one is obvious to understand. While you should wait for a minute to allow the engine oil to grease engine but don't switch-on & stand inactive. Kick start your engine & depart.
Avoid using brakes repetitively
To avoid repetitive use of brakes, become skilled at shifting lane smoothly. To avoid sudden braking unless necessary, ride at average speed. halting Suddenly also burns more fuel than with a smooth halt. The key is driving smoothly & slowing down nicely before final brakes.
Switch off the engine
If you notice that halting time is more than 20 sec., switch off the car. But Petrol to switch-on the engine will cost high if halting time is less than 20 sec. So check with your judgment OR with the help of Timer at signal whether you need to switch off the vehicle or not.
Check deflation in tyres
condition of tyres is an evident factor important in fuel efficiency. So don't wait for a deflation to inspect your tyre but make it a regular practice. The moment you stop for your gas tank, get your tyre pressure checked & inflated, if required.
Have the right speed
40-45 kmph is established speed appropriate for your car's fuel efficiency. While choosing the right gear at the right speed is nevertheless also necessary. 20-30 kmph for 2nd gear, 30-40 kmph for 3rd & 40-50 kmph for the 4th gear is suggested from the car-makers.
